Practice profile

Jeremy is a leading Senior Counsel at the Hong Kong Bar, a CIArb Fellow and CEDR accredited mediator. He acts as independent arbitrator or as advocate in international arbitrations and high value commercial mediations, with extensive experience under the rules of numerous institutions. His practice areas include commercial disputes, trade and investment, shareholder joint venture and M&A, financial markets and restructuring, energy and insurance.

He is a member of the HK Bar Association Arbitration Committee and of the ICC Standing Committee on Arbitration and ADR.

Prior to joining the Hong Kong Bar in 1999 Jeremy was in private practice at Herbert Smith and from 1994 to 1999 an international equity partner with Coudert Brothers where he was Head of the Litigation Department and Co-Head of the firm’s Asia Region Arbitration Practice Group (9 regional offices).

He brings to bear in his advocacy and appointments the attributes of a highly experienced barrister combined with the commercial understanding gained as a solicitor.
