Edward Alder of Prince’s Chambers had the great privilege of addressing the Orientation event for the inaugural class of University of Hong Kong’s new LLM in Maritime Law, with a presentation on “My Voyage in Maritime Law”. 

Hong Kong is said to be the only city in the world with 5 universities in the world’s Top 100. This sort of innovation enables Hong Kong to maintain that enviable position. The 30 new students are drawn from various universities, the majority in Mainland China.

Edward spoke about the various case highlights of his career, such as The Antwerpen [1994] l Lloyd’s Rep 213 (NSWCA), The Milano Bridge [2022] 1 Lloyd’s Rep 441 (HKCA) and Antea c/w Star Centurion (2023) HKCFAR 297.
