Josh Baker and Suhail Bindra served as adjudicators at Justice Centre Hong Kong’s Mock Trial Programme on 10 April 2026.

Acting as TCAB adjudicators, they heard submissions from student teams, presided over a simulated non-refoulement hearing, delivered a decision on whether protection would be granted on the four applicable grounds, and provided advocacy tips and tailored feedback to the participants.

Justice Centre Hong Kong’s Mock Trial Programme introduces students to refugee and human rights issues through experiential learning, combining training, mentoring and a full mock hearing to develop their legal awareness, critical thinking and advocacy skills.
