Prince’s Chambers recognises members of the Hong Kong employment law community on the publication of the third edition of Employment Law & Practice in Hong Kong, a leading reference work published by Sweet & Maxwell. The new edition was released on 1 October 2026 and reflects significant developments in Hong Kong employment law over the past nine years.
Paul J. Carolan and Lavesh Kirpalani were among the group of contributing editors who helped bring this publication to fruition, alongside fellow leading employment law practitioners from across Hong Kong. Employment Law & Practice in Hong Kong is widely recognised as a comprehensive resource covering both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. The third edition addresses a range of important developments including enhancements to maternity and paternity rights, expanded anti-discrimination protections, developments in employment contracts, immigration schemes affecting employers and employees, post-termination restrictions, and data privacy obligations in the workplace.
The publication demonstrates the collaborative efforts of solicitors, barristers and academics dedicated to supporting the continued development of employment law practice in Hong Kong. We extend our congratulations to General Editor Andrea Randall, the contributing editors and the wider editorial team on this achievement.
