Members of Prince’s Chambers last week attended the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association’s Annual Dinner, held in the distinguished company of the Admiralty Judge, The Honourable Madam Justice Yvonne Cheng.

Representing Chambers at this year’s event were Edward Alder, Josh Baker, Thomas Yeon and Cyrus Lee. In his capacity as long-serving Vice President of the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association, Edward delivered the welcoming remarks, marking another successful gathering of Hong Kong’s maritime legal and shipping community.

The Annual Dinner remains one of the most important fixtures in Hong Kong’s maritime law calendar, bringing together practitioners, arbitrators, judges, shipowners, insurers, P&I Clubs and industry stakeholders to strengthen professional relationships and reaffirm Hong Kong’s position as a leading maritime and dispute resolution centre.

Prince’s Chambers has a long and active involvement in the maritime sector. Members of Chambers are regularly instructed in a broad range of shipping, admiralty and international trade disputes, including charterparty and bill of lading claims, ship arrests, collisions, cargo claims, marine insurance disputes and arbitration proceedings. Our members also act in complex commercial matters arising from the shipping, logistics and transport sectors throughout Hong Kong and the wider Asia Pacific region

As Hong Kong continues to reinforce its position as a premier centre for maritime dispute resolution, Prince’s Chambers remains committed to supporting the development of the maritime industry and legal profession. Through active participation in organisations such as the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association, contributions to legal education, and representation of clients in significant maritime disputes, our members are proud to play a role in maintaining Hong Kong’s standing as a trusted international maritime hub.
