Cyrus joined Chambers following completion of his pupillage with Mr Bruce Tse SC, Mr Colin Wright, Mr Edward Alder, and Mr Joe Chan. He is developing a broad mixed practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
On the civil side, Cyrus has been involved in a wide range of matters (both domestic and cross-border), including commercial, shipping, intellectual property, employment and disputes related to virtual currency. In addition to court work, he has assisted arbitral tribunals and parties in several international arbitration proceedings.
On the criminal side, Cyrus has worked on cases involving drug offences, dishonest offences, driving offences, and violent offences. He has also been involved in cases with less common charges, such as terrorism, child pornography, practising medicine without a certificate, and threats to kill.
Cyrus is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, and accepts instructions for hearings conducted in any of these languages. He is also capable of preparing legal documents in both traditional and simplified Chinese.
