Edward Alder had the duty and privilege of officiating at the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association Annual Dinner yesterday. Held in the suitably maritime environment of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club on a clear night with the sun setting over the harbour. HKMLA was delighted to have two guests of honour, The Hon. Mr Geoffrey Ma GBM, former Chief Justice of Hong Kong, and on his last day as a CFI Judge, the Admiralty Judge, Hon. Anthony Chan J. 50+ practitioners and 4 professors of maritime law were present. It was a great opportunity for all to offer warm congratulations to Mr Justice Chan on his elevation (today) to the Hong Kong Court of Appeal.
